Steve Bannon to Haley: ‘We don’t need your endorsement’

Former Trump White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon speaks during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md., on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Former White House chief of staff and conservative commentator Steve Bannon said former President Trump does not need an endorsement from former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley now that she has dropped out of the 2024 GOP primary.

“Screw Nikki Haley. We don’t need your endorsement,” Bannon said on his “War Room” show this week.

Bannon, a top Trump ally, mocked Republicans who have said, “Oh, we’ve got to get to Nikki Haley voters.”

“They’re all Democrats that are going to vote for Biden anyway,” the conservative commentator said. “The exit polls show that. We don’t need her donors. Donors aren’t going to give Trump any money, so let’s not … raise her profile by doing that.”

As she dropped out of the race following Trump’s sweeping victories on Super Tuesday, Haley did not endorse Trump and said Wednesday it was up to the former president to “earn” her supporters’ votes.

Trump is widely expected to soon win enough delegates to officially claim the GOP nomination for president and square off with President Biden in a rematch of the 2020 election.
