Mark Levin hits ex-Fox News reporter over his criticism: ‘He was very comfortable hobnobbing with conservatives’
Conservative commentator and author Mark Levin shot back at former Fox News reporter Carl Cameron on Tuesday, tweeting Cameron was “very comfortable hobnobbing with conservatives” despite now saying that he left Fox News over “partisan misinformation.”
“Carl Cameron used to show up at conservative social gatherings when he was a reporter for Fox News,” Levin wrote to his more than 1.6 million followers. “He was very comfortable hobnobbing with conservatives. His alleged disgruntlement with Fox & his new liberal site belie what I personally witnessed.”
{mosads}Cameron, who retired from Fox News in August 2017, criticized his former employer of more than 20 years on Monday, claiming “right-wing hosts drowned out straight journalism with partisan misinformation.”
Cameron had not been critical of Fox News until he made the remarks for a promotional video for the liberal “Front Page Live,” which he says will serve as “antidote” to the conservative Drudge Report.
“What’s a former Fox guy doing here on Front Page Live partnering with progressives?” Cameron said in the video. “Well, it’s about facts, not partisanship.”
Levin, a former chief of staff to Reagan-era Attorney General Ed Meese, is the host of “Life, Liberty & Levin,” which airs weekends on Fox News. He is also a syndicated national radio host and best-selling author.
