‘The View’ invites Haley for racism chat; Behar says, ‘She’s not coming’

The co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” were in agreement Friday they would welcome former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, a GOP candidate for president, to come on the show and discuss the history of racism in America.

Haley has faced growing criticism over first failing to mention slavery when asked about the cause of the Civil War and then later asserting the U.S. has “never been a racist country.”

Saying she is a “lesser evil” than former President Trump, co-host Sara Haines suggested Haley be given “proper airtime” and not be dismissed because she trails far behind Trump in most GOP primary polls.

“Well, you know what I think, we should give her the same airtime we gave Kamala Harris,” Ana Navarro, another co-host on the show, chimed in. “If she wants to come here and she wants to explain to us how America was never been racist, we welcome her.”

“Oh, I’m happy to chat with her,” Sonny Hostin added.

But Joy Behar cast doubt that Haley would show up on the popular daytime table talk program.

“She’s not coming, I doubt she’d come here,” Behar said.

Haley came in third place to Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in Monday’s Iowa caucuses and faces an important primary election on Tuesday in New Hampshire, where she polls far closer to the front of the pack.
