Conservative outlet complains about lack of Trump shout-out at rally

A conservative cable news outlet on Friday called out President Trump for not mentioning it during a rally the previous night when he rattled off a list of media supporters.

One America News Network (OANN), an outlet that is vocal in its backing of Trump, panned the lack of reference in a video posted to Twitter.

“President Trump recently gave a speech, thanking his supporters in the media. Not a single mention of One America News — one of his GREATEST supporters…@OANN calls bullshit…” OANN tweeted.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Thursday night when he acknowledged a number of conservative media hosts, including several Fox News personalities, who have offered largely favorable coverage of the White House.{mosads}

OANN CEO Robert Herring explained in a tweet that employees at his outlet would have appreciated a shout-out from the president, compared to president acknowledging “established media elites.”

“Anyone who knows @OANN, knows we’ve reported REAL news since DAY ONE. Our young people work very hard to do that, so to be mentioned by the President means a lot more to them than to the established media elites,” he tweeted.

Trump has cited OANN in the past, mentioning one of its polls in a 2016 tweet showing him in a tight race with Hillary Clinton.
