Pundit Dan Abrams has signed a new multiyear contract with cable channel NewsNation, the network announced Tuesday.
Abrams, who is also a top legal analyst for ABC and a former host of the police-following reality TV show “Live PD,” has been hosting a prime-time news and analysis program on NewsNation since September 2021.
His 9 p.m. show frequently focuses on issues relating to crime, law enforcement and politics.
A longtime television news personality, Abrams is also the founder and CEO of media-focused website Mediate.
NewsNation is a cable news channel started by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
Since launching Abrams’s show, the network has hired a number of other hosts and anchors to fill out its prime-time roster including ex-CNN anchor Chris Cuomo and former ABC correspondent Elizabeth Vargas.
