Lawrence Jones joins ‘Fox and Friends’ as co-host
Lawrence Jones has been added as a co-host of “Fox and Friends,” Fox News’s flagship morning talk program.
Jones will join co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade on weekday mornings while continuing in his role as the franchise’s enterprise reporter, the network said.
Having joined Fox in 2018, he most recently hosted a weekend show, which is being replaced by Kilmeade’s weekend program “One Nation with Brian Kilmeade,” on Saturday evenings.
“Lawrence has his finger on the pulse of what matters to communities across America and his insight has proved invaluable to the Fox and Friends audience,” Fox News senior vice president of morning programming Gavin Hadden said in announcing Jones’s promotion.
Jones was among a string of Fox News personalities who guest-hosted the 8 p.m. Eastern hour earlier this year as it looked to replace ousted pundit Tucker Carlson, a job that eventually was given to co-host of “The Five” Jesse Watters.
Jones begins his new role Monday.
