Megyn Kelly calls Kavanaugh-Ford controversy ‘a farce’
Megyn Kelly is calling the controversy surrounding Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh “a farce.”
She said the process is unlikely to lead to a satisfactory result for anyone and predicted that the FBI investigation of the matter will not change anyone’s minds.
{mosads}“Brett Kavanaugh is entitled to due process, but he’s not necessarily going to get it. [Ford is] not going to be believed by the Republicans, no matter how credible she may seem,” Kelly, the host of NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today,” said at the Most Powerful Women Summit in Laguna Niguel, Calif. “So the whole thing is a farce. It was set up to be a farce. There was no impartial arbiter in that Senate hearing room.”
Kelly said the FBI investigation won’t change minds regardless of its findings. “It’s going to be utterly unsatisfactory,” Kelly said.
Kelly has focused on the Kavanaugh case all week, and on Monday she said that not all women who make accusations should be believed.
“The notion that *every* woman must be believed is absurd,” Kelly wrote in a series of tweets Monday night. “Just ask the 3 Duke [lacrosse] players who were falsely accused of rape by a woman who virtually all of the media believed but who made the whole thing up.”
Not every victim will have that kind of record, which is fine, but the notion that *every* woman must be believed is absurd. Just ask the 3 Duke lax players who were falsely accused of rape by a woman who virtually all of the media believed but who made the whole thing up.

Kelly added that in another tweet on Tuesday that if it is proven that Kavanaugh lied during testimony, it should disqualify him from being considered for the Supreme Court while defending everyone’s right to due process.
I will defend due process to my dying day. But as I said on the air yesterday, if they can prove Kavanaugh lied under oath – a felony – it’s disqualifying. Period. https://t.co/X95DWDYihs

Kelly has discussed her own experience with sexual harassment at Fox News, where she says she was harassed by former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, who died last year.
