In an announcement widely expected following her departure from Fox News, former host Kimberly Guilfoyle has joined the pro-Trump PAC America First Action as its vice chairwoman.

The news comes just days after Guilfoyle, who joined Fox News in 2006 and was named co-host of “The Five” in 2011, abruptly parted ways with the network on July 20.

America First Action describes itself as “the primary super PAC dedicated to electing federal candidates who support the agenda of the Trump-Pence administration.”

“America First is delighted to welcome Kimberly to the team,” said Thomas Hicks, Jr., Chairman of the Board of America First Action, in a Tuesday announcement. “It’s an honor to have such a talented woman and one of the most highly sought-after television personalities in the country help us achieve our objective — helping the President Make America Great Again.”

Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor in San Francisco before jumping into media, reportedly began dating Donald Trump Jr. earlier this year.

She says she looks forward to connecting “with the millions of grassroots supporters who believe in this administration.”

“Throughout my career as a prosecutor and journalist, I’ve seen a lot and shared many stories of tragedy, triumph, and everything in between — but never have I experienced anything quite like the energy the America First movement brings,” Guilfoyle said in a statement released by the organization. “I am grateful for this new and exciting opportunity to connect with the millions of grassroots supporters who believe in this administration.”

As vice chairwoman, America First says Guilfoyle will assist with “fundraising, media appearances, and grassroots outreach.”

She was reportedly considered by President Trump to serve as either White House press secretary or communications director.

“I will miss my Fox family. I thank Fox for the opportunities it has provided me. I thank all the talented producers, staff, and above all I thank the best fans out there,” Guilfoyle tweeted Tuesday.

Fox News offered a terse statement to confirm Guilfoyle’s departure on Friday, stating, “Fox News has parted ways with Kimberly Guilfoyle.”
