‘The Daily Show’ compares Fox News hosts’ praise of Trump with North Korean state TV
“The Daily Show” with Trevor Noah mocked Fox News on Thursday with a video comparing the network’s coverage of President Trump to state-controlled television.
The video included various clips showing similarities between what Fox News personalities said about Trump’s historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un earlier this month and the glowing commentary about Kim from news presenters on North Korean state TV.
“Only days ago, President Trump ushered in a new era of diplomacy,” Fox News host Sean Hannity says in one clip included in the video.

The video cuts to a North Korean television anchor who says, “Our venerable supreme leader comrade opened a new, triumphant era of diplomacy.”
“This is something that many analysts and pundits thought was totally impossible,” Fox host Jeanine Pirro says in another clip.
“Who could have imagined that this moment was possible?” a North Korean presenter says.

“The Daily Show” has taken shots at Fox News personalities before.
The show released a clip comparing Hannity’s attacks on former President Obama for pursuing diplomatic relations with Cuba and Hannity’s triumphant praise of Trump’s North Korea policies.
Hannity drew 5.9 million viewers earlier this month during his broadcast from Singapore covering Trump’s summit with Kim — surpassing “The Bachelorette” and all other broadcast or cable television shows.
Meanwhile, Trump – who prides himself on his combative relationship with the American press – was reportedly impressed during his trip to Singapore for the summit with how state-run North Korean news programs talk so positively about Kim.
The Washington Post reported that the president joked after watching North Korean state-run television that not even Fox News praised him as much as a North Korean anchor praised Kim.
Trump also reportedly joked about how the female TV anchor should get a job in U.S. media, the Post reported.
