Fox News anchor Shannon Bream apologized on Tuesday night, a day after her program showed video of Philadelphia Eagles players kneeling in prayer in a piece implying that they were kneeling during the national anthem.

“Last night during our report about the President Trump canceling the Philadelphia Eagles trip to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win, we showed unrelated footage of players kneeling in prayer,” Bream said. “To clarify, no members of the team knelt in protest during the national anthem throughout regular or postseason last year. We sincerely apologize for the error.”

Bream, who was awarded her own 11 p.m. show in October, had also taken to Twitter earlier Tuesday to apologize for the error, retweeting an apology from Fox News via the program’s executive producer Christopher Wallace.

“I hope you’ll accept our humble apology,” Bream wrote.

The segment had aired on “Fox News @ Night” following the president’s announcement on Monday that he was disinviting the team from the annual White House event, and had showed images of several Philadelphia players on one knee praying before games.
