MSNBC’s Ruhle blasts Conway for mocking Schneiderman: ‘Talk about a double standard’
MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle blasted Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday for mocking Eric Schneiderman after four women made physical abuse allegations against the former New York attorney general, pointing to accusations against President Trump.
“You’re standing with and by someone who’s been accused of sexual misconduct as well as a guy who’s bragged about grabbing women’s genitals,” Ruhle said.
“Talk about a double standard, you betcha,” she added.
Ruhle brought up the White House counselor’s defense of Trump after the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape was released during the 2016 presidential race, in which Trump is heard bragging about kissing and groping women without their consent.
On Monday, Conway revived a statement from Schneiderman in 2017 reminding Trump that “no one is above the law.”
“Gotcha,” Conway tweeted.

Ruhle on Tuesday also tore into Donald Trump Jr., who has been repeatedly mocking Schneiderman on Twitter.
“That was fast,” Trump Jr. tweeted Monday. “I figured he would hold out for a sold 6 or 7 hours.”

“Hey Don Jr., it didn’t take long because of the extraordinary strength of the free press,” Ruhle said.
Schneiderman stepped down on Monday night after a bombshell report from The New Yorker detailed accusations from four women of physical violence.
