Chris Wallace to interview French president Macron
Fox News will air an exclusive interview with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday night, just a few days before Macron is set to visit the United States.
In a pre-taped interview, “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace will interview the French president at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
Wallace will ask the French president about the situation in Syria, his first year in office and the state of the France–U.S. relationship.

The interview, airing on local Fox stations on Sunday morning and then at 7 p.m. on Fox News Channel, will come just two days before President Trump is set to host Macron at the White House for a state visit.
“This visit will advance American and French cooperation on economic and global issues and deepen the friendship between the two countries,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said of the state visit last month.
The U.S. and France, along with the United Kingdom, recently launched missile strikes on chemical weapons facilities in Syria as retaliation for a chemical weapon attack in a Damascus suburb that the Syrian government is widely believed to have been behind.
Macron recently told Vanity Fair that he has developed mutual “trust and respect” with Trump, even though their relationship did not start out on a positive note.
He noted that continuous cooperation and communication has led to a better understanding between the two leaders.
