Fox News host Pirro asks if Sessions has lost his ‘prosecutorial balls’

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro sharply attacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday, questioning whether the top Trump administration official “lost his prosecutorial balls” during his time in the Senate.

During a segment on her show, “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Pirro interviewed Fox News contributors Tammy Bruce and Lisa Boothe over whether Sessions should appoint a second special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton.

The New York Times reported that Pirro, a top supporter of President Trump, has pushed for weeks for a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton’s involvement in approving the sale of a Canadian uranium mining company with holdings in the U.S. to a Russian state-owned firm during her time as secretary of State.

During the interview, Bruce suggested that Sessions’s time in the Senate could be a reason that he was not “shocked” over the story.

“His body was the Senate and he moved through it for an innumerable length of time,” Bruce said. “And we can’t dismiss the impact of living in that bubble.”

“So he lost his prosecutorial balls,” Pirro suggested.

“I’m a big fan of Jeff Sessions,” Bruce continued. “Thank goodness for the president, that he has got an eye on this, publicly making sure individuals know how serious this is.”

Pirro is a vocal critic of the attorney general, and reportedly tore into the top Justice Department official in November during a private meeting with the president.

In a September episode of her show, Pirro demanded that Sessions reopen the Clinton email investigation, saying Clinton should not get a free pass for alleged misconduct just because she is no longer in public office.

“Jeff Sessions needs to follow his prosecutorial instincts and open a federal criminal investigation into the actions of Hillary Rodham Clinton and impanel a grand jury immediately,” Pirro said in September.

“This woman should not get a free pass because she lost an election. Her reign was one of bold, brazen in your face pay-to-play corruption,” she said.
