Twitter users slam Tomi Lahren for defending Trump’s ‘s—hole countries’ remark
Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren caught a great deal of pushback on Friday after she defended President Trump in a tweet Friday for reportedly calling Haiti, El Salvador and certain African nations “shithole countries.”
If they aren’t shithole countries, why don’t their citizens stay there? Let’s be honest. Call it like it is.

In a Thursday meeting with lawmakers, Trump asked why the U.S. let in so many immigrants from “shithole countries,” as first reported by The Washington Post, saying more should be brought in from countries like Norway.
Lahren joined several other conservative media personalities defending Trump for the remark.
{mosads}Fox News host Jesse Watters argued that the “forgotten men and women” who make up Trump’s base would approve of the comment, and Tucker Carlson asked why Trump’s remark was being treated as a “major event” because Trump swears “all the time.”
Social media users slammed Lahren for her defense.
Countries don’t immigrate, people do. The quality of a person isn’t determined by their surroundings. The point is that he complained that we are getting black and brown immigrants, not white ones. That makes him a racist, and that’s a bad thing to be. Call it like it is. https://t.co/CD0811ISe4

Hey Tomi, Washington Post shithole bureau chief here. Love your foreign affairs reporting. Did you know there are 8.7 million Americans living overseas? Can’t imagine why they would leave home. https://t.co/Vazd6Ts3Pe

If Fox News isn’t a shithole entertainment channel, then why are they banned in the UK for literal “fake news”? https://t.co/VMvLL4sbc4

According to US Census records, Tomi, every year 2900 people leave your home state of South Dakota to move to California and only 1300 move the other way.
By your own logic… you are from a shithole state. Should we keep you there?https://t.co/Fe4DeayqmB

In a series of tweets Friday, Trump denied saying “anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country” and said that while he used “tough language” in the meeting with lawmakers, “this was not the language used.”
