Hannity after reports of charges filed in Mueller probe: When will Clinton be indicted?

Fox News host Sean Hannity responded late Friday to reports that the first charges have been filed in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference.

“When will @HillaryClinton be indicted?” Hannity tweeted, minutes after CNN reported that a federal grand jury approved the first charges in Mueller’s probe.

Sources told the network that those charged could be taken into custody as soon as Monday.

It is unclear what the charges are, the network reported. A spokesman for the special counsel’s office declined to comment to The Hill.

Hannity, a vocal supporter of President Trump, accused Mueller in other tweets of working “hand in hand” with the media and also mentioned Uranium One, a mining company at the center of two new House investigations. Hannity also called news of the charges a “distraction.”

Two House committees announced Tuesday a joint investigation into the 2010 sale of the company to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom.

Republicans are seeking information on whether there was an FBI investigation into Russian efforts to infiltrate the U.S. energy market as well as whether the deal should have been approved in the first place.

House Democrats blasted the investigations, calling them a partisan exercise to distract from various investigations into Russian election interference.

“These investigations were initiated on a partisan basis and will shed no light on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, but then again they are not intended to do so,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
