Trump set for 14th Fox interview since taking office

President Trump is set to sit down for an interview with Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Wednesday, marking the president’s 14th appearance on Fox News or Fox Business since taking office.

Trump is set “to discuss the latest surrounding the efforts to get tax reform passed by the end of this year,” Fox Business said. The interview will be taped at the White House on Wednesday and air on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” at 7 p.m.

Dobbs, a staunch supporter of the president, has in recent weeks frequently discussed with guests on his program GOP efforts to pass tax reform this year.

{mosads}Trump has appeared regularly on Fox since taking office in January but has largely avoided other outlets in recent months. He last appeared an another major network in May, when he interviewed with NBC News’s Lester Holt after firing FBI Director James Comey.

Since that time, the president has done several interviews with Fox News and Fox Business programs and hosts including Judge Jeanine Pirro, “Fox & Friends,” Sean Hannity and most recently with Maria Bartiromo for a two-part interview that aired this past Sunday and Monday.
Trump has also done interviews with hosts on smaller networks that reach fewer homes, including with supporter and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) on the Trinity Broadcast Network in September. Trump has also appeared on the Christian Broadcasting Network with longtime host Pat Robertson in July.

Overall, Trump has not appeared on CBS since May 1, ABC since January, CNN and CNBC since August 2016 and MSNBC since May 2016.
