Fox News commentator Charles Krauthammer slammed Anthony Scaramucci on Thursday night, calling his profanity-laced comments about fellow senior White House aide Reince Priebus and others “disgraceful.”

“Being a New Yorker is no excuse. This is the degradation of the presidency,” Krauthammer said of the Wall Street financier on Fox’s “Special Report,” while calling out President Trump for not restraining his new White House communications director.

“This is where we have come to. None of us have ever seen this. The reason is that it is not to be done,” the syndicated conservative columnist continued. “That kind of language is not be used, particularly when it’s infighting in the White House.”

“The fact that the president is allowing all of this to go on means that it rests with him. He’s the only one who can actually restrain this. He appears not to. Perhaps he believes that Scaramucci is the guy who will clear the swamp in the White House, but this is really disgraceful,” Krauthammer said.

Scaramucci issued a tweet on Thursday night saying that he would “refrain” from using “colorful language” after an explosive story in The New Yorker in which he was quoted firing off profanity-laced comments about Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon.

“Reince is a f—— paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci told The New Yorker writer Ryan Lizza in a Wednesday phone call.

Scaramucci also said Priebus will be “asked to resign shortly,” and appeared to allege the former head of the Republican National Committee was leaking information to reporters.

“They’ll all be fired by me,” the new White House communications director said. “I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow

“I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus — if you want to leak something — he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.”
