Meeks on being mistaken for a staffer: ‘Glad I still blend in with the cool kids’
Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) responded Tuesday to a tweet about him being mistaken for a staffer at the Capitol.
Overheard DC, an account that takes submissions of what people hear in the nation’s capital, said earlier in the day that an intern on the subway at the Rayburn House Office Building asked the House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman who he worked for.
At the Subway in Rayburn:
Intern: “So who do you work for?”
Greg Meeks: “I’m a member.”

I love serving on the @HouseForeign Committee and having @RepGregoryMeeks as our Chairman is obviously one of the reasons why!
