NJ lawmaker tests negative for COVID-19
New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D) announced Saturday that he tested negative for COVID-19.
Gottheimer was tested for the virus and began self-quarantine after he was exposed to somebody who had the virus.
In a statement posted in a tweet to his followers, Gottheimer said that he learned he tested negative for the virus and that he had been working from home since he learned of his exposure to the disease.
The congressman also emphasized that, “everyone in New Jersey continues to take the proper precautions to combat the spread of the coronavirus, including self-quarantine and social distancing.”

Though the New Jersey lawmaker did not mention specifically who he had contact with, however, last Wednesday Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) and Ben McAdams (D-Utah) announced they had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Earlier this week, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) announced his test results for COVID-19 also came back negative.
