Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) and former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) feuded online Saturday over Santos’ successful Cameo business after he was expelled from Congress last week.

After being expelled, Santos turned to the video messaging service Cameo, where anyone can pay $400 for a custom message from the former congressman.

“Hey George Santos, friendly recommendation: make sure you pay your taxes on your cameo earnings,” Goldman said, making dig at criminal charges Santos faces over wire fraud and campaign finance violations.

But Santos fired right back, questioning his motives.

“Still looking for relevancy off my name? Geez Dan, I’m gone go find someone else to step on to prop yourself up!” Santos responded.

Santos’ Cameo videos have gone viral, being featured on late-night talk shows and all over social media. Already a popular internet personality, Santos converted his congressional infamy into online fame.

Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-Pa.) campaign even sent a Santos message to foe Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) poking fun at him as Fetterman calls on Menendez to resign over his own criminal charges.

Santos said he earned more through Cameo this week than his entire $174,000 congressional salary.
