Former FBI Director James Comey returned to Capitol Hill on Monday for a final grilling with GOP lawmakers before Democrats take control of the House.
Republicans pressed Comey on a series of matters, including allegations of bias against President Trump, questions about anti-Trump texts sent between two then-FBI employees during the 2016 presidential campaign and the so-called Steele dossier of opposition research on Trump.
{mosads}House Democrats have swatted down Republican criticism of Comey, describing the interview as a waste of time and an attempt to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Tuesday released the second round of Comey’s testimony.
