Barron Trump makes political debut at father’s rally: ‘You’re pretty popular’

Barron Trump made his political debut at his father’s rally on Tuesday after being largely absent from the campaign trail.

“Barron Trump! This is the first time he’s ever done it, Barron,” former President Trump said during the Doral, Fla., event Tuesday.

Barron Trump, 18, is the youngest of the former president’s children. Tuesday was his first-ever appearance at one of his father’s campaign rallies, The Associated Press reported.

Trump’s other sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have often been seen at campaign events for their father. Melania Trump, like Barron, has not been spotted at many of Trump’s political events — including his debate with President Biden last month.

Barron stood up and waved to the supporters in attendance at his father’s request, before giving a thumbs up to the crowd as they clapped and cheered.

Trump boasted about his son, saying the college-bound Barron got into every school he applied to. His comments were met with enthusiasm from the audience as the former president described Barron as a “very good guy.”

“That’s the first time he’s done it. That’s the first time, right?” Trump said. “You’re pretty popular, he might be more popular than Don and Eric, we gotta talk about this. Hey Don, we gotta talk about this.”

“So Barron, it’s good to have you,” Trump said, adding that Barron “had such a nice, easy life. Now, it’s a little bit changed.”

After the rally, Trump posted photos of Barron waving to the crowd and pumping his fist on Truth Social. Trump said earlier this year that Barron advises him on politics, noting that he is a “smart one.”

“And he’s really been a great student,” Trump said in an interview on Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in May. “And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’”
