Former President Trump has won the Maryland GOP presidential primary, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Trump was not expected to face any stiff competition as the only last remaining major Republican candidate in the race.

Maryland has 37 delegates up for grabs on the GOP side.

However, the former president is expected to face a protest vote akin to ones that have played out in other states like Arizona and Indiana, given Maryland is home to former Gov. Larry Hogan (R), a prominent Trump critic.

Still, it’s unlikely to play a pivotal role at the presidential level. President Biden beat Trump in the Old Line State by 33 points in 2020.
