House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) reported on Tuesday that he fundraised $7.2 million in the first quarter of fundraising for this year.

Emmer raised $1.3 million for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and another $1.1 million for incumbents and candidates alone.

Since becoming GOP majority whip, Emmer, who previously served as head of the NRCC, has raked in $17.2 million altogether, including $4.7 million for the NRCC and $2.1 million for incumbents and candidates.

The Minnesota Republican ends the quarter with $5.4 million cash on hand.

“We must do everything we can to help our team grow this majority on Election Day,” Emmer said in a statement. “I’m humbled by the support shown to our cause by donors all across the country. Now let’s win in November.”

The deadline to report first-quarter fundraising hauls from January to March is April 15.

Republicans are looking to defend their slim majority in the House, as the party has seen a slew of retirements that has shrunk their edge in the lower chamber. The NRCC reported fundraising $8.1 million in February, according to the latest campaign finance filings available, and $17.2 million since the start of the year.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) fundraised $14.5 million in February and $24 million since the beginning of 2024.
