Stefanik raises $7.1M in Q1 fundraising
House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik’s (N.Y.) campaign announced Thursday that she raked in $7.1 million in the first quarter of fundraising this year.
That number includes money she raised for herself, the House Battleground fund and for national committees and candidates. Her campaign received contributions from 70,000 donors in the first quarter, with the average contribution being $21.
Her campaign said she’s raised $20 million this cycle to date.
The filing deadline for first quarter fundraising, which includes January through March, is April 15.
Stefanik bested her previous total of $5.2 million, which she raised during the last quarter of fundraising for 2023.
Stefanik is among those who have been floated as potential vice presidential picks for former President Trump. She’s gained national attention for defending the former president in Congress and for her line of questioning to several university presidents about antisemitism that went viral.
She’s left the door open to being his running mate.
“Well, I, of course, would be honored to serve in any capacity in a Trump administration. I’m proud to be the first member of Congress to endorse his reelection. I’m proud to be a strong supporter of President Trump, and he’s going to win this November,” the New York Republican said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in January.
