Klobuchar coasts to reelection in Minnesota Senate race
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) cruised to reelection on Tuesday over Republican opponent Jim Newberger (R).
She was widely expected to do so. Klobuchar held a consistently high lead over Newberger throughout the race.

As the ranking member of the Senate Rules Committee, Klobuchar has pursued issues including the influence of “dark money” contributions and election security.
She also had a memorable exchange with Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings, after which Kavanaugh apologized for taking a harsh tone with her.
