Trump: It’s ‘an honor’ to host SNL

NEW YORK — Donald Trump told The Hill that he is looking forward to hosting “Saturday Night Live” next month, calling it “a great honor.”

{mosads}In an interview, he said “SNL” producer Lorne Michaels called him to appear — a decade after he initially hosted the show.

Earlier this month, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton appeared on the show and did a widely praised impersonation of Trump. Asked if he might impersonate Clinton, Trump smiled and said that would be “interesting.”

Trump declined to appear on the finale of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” with Jon Stewart this summer.
