Poll: Biden, Sanders and Warren lead 2020 Democrats in New Hampshire

Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) top the field of Democratic presidential contenders in New Hampshire, according to a poll released Tuesday.

The CNN poll, conducted by University of New Hampshire (UNH), found Biden leading the crowded field with 24 percent support in the first-in-the-nation primary state.

{mosads}Sanders and Warren, who both represent states neighboring New Hampshire, are tied at 19 percent support among likely primary voters.

South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) was the top choice of 10 percent of respondents, just ahead of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) at 9 percent.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), both registered at 2 percent support. No other candidate earned more than 1 percent.

UNH surveyed 386 likely Democratic primary voters between July 8 and 15. The margin of error for the results is 5 percentage points.

The new poll comes a day after another New Hampshire survey from Saint Anselm College, which found significantly different results.

While Biden lead in that survey, Harris was second at 17.5 percent support and Sanders was much lower at only 9.9 percent support.

Warren and Buttigieg had similar levels of support in both surveys.

Saint Anselm surveyed 352 likely Democratic primary voters between July 10 and 12. Its poll  had a margin of error of 5.2 points.
