Psaki gives mother-in-law’s homemade cookies to White House reporters

White House press secretary Jen Psaki gave out cookies made by her mother-in-law to reporters on Friday.

“As I promised yesterday, I promised snacks. I didn’t bring them in here, but my mother-in-law made homemade chocolate chip cookies for you guys,” Psaki said at the end of her daily briefing. “So, there’s one for each of you in here, we will do it in a COVID-safe way.”

A White House aide then passed around a tray of cookies to each reporter in their seats in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

The White House press corps has limited the number of reporters attending each briefing due to the coronavirus, with journalists sitting spaced apart in the briefing room.

The White House requires all journalists entering the building to get tested and wear masks during the briefings.

The Biden administration is approaching its first 100 days in office, a milestone that will be met on Thursday.

Psaki announced on Friday that Biden will be traveling to Atlanta to mark 100 days. She also announced his first planned overseas trip as president.
