President Trump highlighted former Vice President Joe Biden’s gaffes late Monday, saying the Democratic presidential candidate doesn’t know “what office he’s running for.”
“Sleepy Joe doesn’t know where he is, or what he’s doing,” Trump tweeted. “Honestly, I don’t think he even knows what office he’s running for!”
The tweet included a Fox News montage of gaffes that Biden has made over the years dating back to his time in the Senate.
The president’s tweet followed comments that Trump made at a campaign rally in North Carolina on the eve of Super Tuesday earlier Monday night.
“Tomorrow, voters in states across the nation for Super Tuesday — not Super Thursday. Oh, he said Super Thursday! You can’t do these things. Can you imagine if I said Super Thursday? I would be over, right? I would be over,” Trump, who has his own history of making false or misleading statements, said of Biden.
The 2020 Democratic presidential primary race has cleared up considerably since the weekend, with billionaire Tom Steyer, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) all ending their campaigns.
Both Buttigieg and Klobuchar have endorsed the former vice president.
