Scaramucci thanks John Kelly for speaking up against Trump
Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Thursday thanked President Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly for speaking up against the president.
Scaramucci praised Kelly for “saving my career and marriage” and reiterated that Trump is “a clear and present danger to our country, our world and way of life.”
“No one misses your ‘action’ frankly it’s crazy,” Scaramucci added, referring to Trump.
I want to thank General Kelly for saving my career and marriage. We have to speak up because @realDonaldTrump is a clear and present danger to our country, our world and way of life. Partriotism requires us to. No one misses your “action” frankly it’s crazy. https://t.co/LDtovOlGsK

Scaramucci’s tweet was in response to Trump slamming Kelly for his critical remarks about the president.
“When I terminated John Kelly, which I couldn’t do fast enough, he knew full well that he was way over his head,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “Being Chief of Staff just wasn’t for him. He came in with a bang, went out with a whimper, but like so many X’s, he misses the action & just can’t keep his mouth shut.”
Kelly left the Trump administration at the end of 2018 and Mick Mulvaney was named acting White House chief of staff.
Trump criticized Kelly after reports surfaced that the former White House chief of staff had supported migrants, the news media and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who was reassigned from his post last week after testifying against Trump in the House impeachment inquiry.
Scaramucci, once an outspoken Trump supporter, turned on the president last year, citing his comments against Democratic women of color. Scaramucci served as White House communications director in July 2017 for just 11 days.
