White House spokesperson: Media’s ‘obsession’ with impeachment ‘won’t let up’
White House spokesperson Stephanie Grisham said Sunday that the media’s “obsession” with impeachment “won’t let up.”
Grisham told on Fox News’ “#Media Buzz” that during a press conference in Davos, Switzerland, she thinks Trump received two questions about “what we were there for” and “the rest was all impeachment.”
“The obsession of it won’t let up,” she said. “And it’s to the detriment of the country because they’re not hearing about all the great things that are happening for the county.”

Grisham continued to defend the president saying she disagrees with the claims that his tweet calling out Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) was a threat. Trump tweeted that the head House impeachment manager “not paid the price, yet” for pushing impeachment.
“I think he means he hasn’t yet paid the price with the voters. He hasn’t yet paid the price with the people who see he’s been lying and very obsessed,” she said.
Schiff told “Meet the Press” Sunday that he believed Trump’s tweet was “intended to be” a threat.
The White House spokesperson also added she has a “beef” with the media coverage of impeachment saying it’s “very biased” and includes more interviews with Democrats during breaks in the trial.
The president traveled to Davos last week for the annual World Economic Forum where he spoke on the opening day. Meanwhile, the impeachment trial kicked off in the Senate the same day and is set to continue Monday.
