Harris to appear on ‘The View’ on Wednesday
Vice President Harris is set to appear on ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday, her office announced.
She’ll travel to New York for a live interview with the show’s six co-hosts to talk about the 2024 presidential campaign and the Biden administration’s goals and priorities, according to the network.
It’s the vice president’s seventh appearance on the program and her second appearance in her White House role.
Harris joined “The View” in 2021 for her first in-studio talk show appearance as vice president. More than a decade earlier, then-Vice President Joe Biden joined the program in 2010.
The program is set to air at 11 a.m. EST on Wednesday.
President Biden is running for reelection in 2024 amid concerns about his age and poor poll numbers at this point in the election cycle, which his team has largely shrugged off. Harris, too, has faced scrutiny, with some suggesting Biden should replace her on his reelection ticket.
But allies have defended Harris, arguing she’s a leader on top issues like abortion and gun violence and key to helping the Biden campaign reach young voters and Black voters.
The Biden-Harris reelection campaign on Monday boasted that it has $117 million on hand, in what aides claim is the largest sum for any Democratic candidate in history at this point.
