President Trump rolled out a fast-food spread on Monday for the North Dakota State University football team, which was visiting the White House to celebrate its title in the Football Championship Subdivision of the NCAA.
A reporter covering the event shared a photo of large platters of sandwiches and fries sitting atop a long table inside the State Dining Room as the Bison players and coaches stood around waiting for Trump’s arrival.
Trump later told the players he could have offered them food prepared by the White House chef, but that “I know you people.” Players laughed at the remark.

But with the government fully operating, the White House decided once again to forgo the traditional buffet spread for a fast-food meal.
Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence raved about the visit, telling TMZ Sports at the time that “it was awesome. We had McDonald’s and everything. It was good.”
