President Trump reportedly discussed former President Clinton’s affair in the 1990s with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky during multiple White House tours with guests, according to former White House aide Cliff Sims.

According to an excerpt from Sims’s book, “Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House,” which was obtained by The Washington Post before its publication, Trump told a TV anchor during a 2017 tour of the White House, “I’m told this is where Bill and Monica…” stopping himself from completing his sentence.

{mosads}Sims, according to the Post, wrote that three other people who have attended a tour with Trump said the president has made similar remarks about Clinton and Lewinsky. Sims wrote that Trump, following such comments, often laughs and makes facial expressions. Sims, citing aides, said the topic sometimes leads to drawn-out and often crass conversations.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the Post that the president was proud of the building’s “rich history,” while declining to comment on his reported comments about Lewinsky and the former president.

“The president is proud of the White House and its rich history,” she said.

Trump has frequently attacked Clinton over the affair and other accusations of sexual misconduct the former president has faced. Trump has also faced criticism for allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women.

The president has reportedly slammed Sims’s book in private conversations this week, while expressing anger over the book’s contents.

“Who is this guy? Why is he writing this book? He wasn’t even in meetings,” Trump said Monday, according to Politico.
