Trump golfs with Jack Nicklaus on first day of Thanksgiving vacation

President Trump on Wednesday played with former professional golfer Jack Nicklaus during the first day of his Thanksgiving vacation at Mar-a-Lago.

In what appears to be becoming a Thanksgiving tradition, Trump joined the 77-year-old, who is considered to be one of the best golfers of all time, along with Nicklaus’s son and grandson.

Nicklaus voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, saying that the real estate mogul would shake up U.S. politics in an interview with CBS News.

“I like what Donald has done. He’s turning America upside down, he’s awakening the country,” Nicklaus said at the time.

{mosads}”Is he as smooth and as politically correct as he should be? Probably not, but he’ll learn. He’s not stupid. He didn’t get where he was being dumb.”

Nicklaus praised a comment made by another legendary golfer, Tiger Woods, who said in August that people “have to respect the office.”

Trump frequently criticized former President Obama for golfing during his two terms in office. Trump has visited golf courses 159 times since being elected, according to Golf News Net.
