Trump arrives separately as world leaders gather to mark end of WWI
President Trump and first lady Melania Trump on Sunday arrived separately from other world leaders to an event marking the end of World War I, missing the exact moment of the armistice 100 years ago.
Trump traveled separately from other world leaders, who took a bus from the Élysée Palace to the Arc de Triomphe for a commemoration ceremony marking the centennial of the armistice. Multiple news outlets reported that Trump was not present when other leaders arrived and walked side-by-side and bells tolled to mark 100 years since the fighting ended.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement that Trump arrived separately “due to security protocols.”

{mosads}A topless female protester managed to make it within a few meters of Trump’s motorcade as he drove down the Champs-Élysées. The protester had the words “fake peacemaker” written on her chest, and she was stopped by French police after running into the street.
Trump drew criticism on Saturday when he canceled a trip to an American military cemetery outside of Paris due to weather concerns. The president was set to travel to the cemetery via helicopter, but was unable to fly there due to rain.
White House chief of staff John Kelly and Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made the trip instead via motorcade.
