Former White House staffer: Nondisclosure agreements ‘snuck in’ with other employment forms
A former staffer in President Trump’s White House claims in a new report that nondisclosure agreements (NDAs_were “snuck in” with other White House employee forms, amid a larger debate about the Trump White House’s use of such agreements.
The former staffer told The Weekly Standard that the White House included NDAs along with other “actual forms you had to sign for the legitimate process of being onboarded.”
“Everyone just wanted to get inside. They were like, F—, okay, I’ll sign whatever. Just get me out of this,” the staffer told the publication.

The staffer also reportedly said that “everything got taken away as soon as we signed it” and staffers didn’t receive a copy of what they signed.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Sunday confirmed the existence of nondisclosure agreements for White House employees during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.” Watchdogs have expressed concern that such agreements are unenforceable for public employees.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday said it’s “common” for government employees to sign NDAs.
“I can tell you that it’s common in a lot of places for employees to sign NDAs, including in government, particularly anyone with a security clearance,” she said during a press briefing.
The Trump campaign is suing former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman for breaching a nondisclosure agreement with her new book “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House.”
Manigault Newman has said she does not remember signing an NDA.
