Trump knocks Schumer’s advice after he warns against ‘seat of the pants negotiating’

President Trump on Friday declared in a critical tweet that he doesn’t need advice from Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) after the Democrat warned him against “seat of the pants negotiating” with North Korea.

“Obama, Schumer and Pelosi did NOTHING about North Korea, and now weak on Crime, High Tax Schumer is telling me what to do at the Summit the Dems could never set up. Schumer failed with North Korea and Iran, we don’t need his advice!” Trump tweeted.

{mosads}The tweet follows Schumer’s Thursday response to Trump’s comments on preparing for his high-profile June 12 meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, a historic first for the two leaders.

“I think I’m very well prepared,” Trump told reporters of the meeting to discuss denuclearization and thawing relationships after decades of war in the region. “I don’t think I have to prepare very much. It’s about attitude. It’s about willingness to get things done.”

Schumer seemed to disagree in a tweet that linked to Trump’s comments.

“With ICBMs and nuclear warheads in the hands of North Korea, the situation is far too dangerous for seat of the pants negotiating,” he said a few hours later.
