Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged President Trump to “please resign” during an interview late Tuesday.
“Please resign,” Waters, a frequent critic of Trump, said when asked at the Time 100 gala in New York if she has any advice for Trump. “So that I won’t have to keep up this fight of your having to be impeached because I don’t think you deserve to be there.
“Just get out.”
Waters has called for either his resignation or impeachment multiple times.

She also skipped his first State of the Union address in January over his reported “shithole” remarks aimed at Haiti, El Salvador and African nations.
In a tribute for the 2018 Most Influential People of the Year, actor Yara Shahidi praised Waters as a “brilliant, tenacious” lawmaker.
“She is adored and admired by people who care about social justice and is oh so eloquent in letting the world, particularly the white men of Congress who dare test her acumen, know that she is not here for any nonsense,” Shahidi wrote.
Shahidi also said Waters “says what many of us are thinking” in helping to lead the “impeach him” movement.
Trump was also honored in the Time 100 list by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
