Trump labels Wolff blockbuster a ‘fake book’

President Trump early Sunday blasted Michael Wolff’s blockbuster, saying he now has to “put up” with a “Fake Book” that was written by a “totally discredited author.”

“I’ve had to put up with the Fake News from the first day I announced that I would be running for President. Now I have to put up with a Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author. Ronald Reagan had the same problem and handled it well. So will I!” Trump said on Twitter.

Trump often labels negative coverage and news outlets as “fake news.”

Trump sent the tweet as he prepared to depart Camp David, where he said he had “great meetings” with Cabinet members and military officials.

“Leaving Camp David for the White House,” he said. “Great meetings with the Cabinet and Military on many very important subjects including Border Security & the desperately needed Wall, the ever increasing Drug and Opioid Problem, Infrastructure, Military, Budget, Trade and DACA.”

{mosads}Trump on Saturday defended his fitness for office, striking back against Wolff’s book, which portrays the president as ill-equipped to handle the challenges of the Oval Office.

Trump spoke out at the presidential retreat, where he met with Republican lawmakers and Cabinet officials to map out a 2018 game plan.

In “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” Wolff claimed that “100 percent of the people around” Trump question “his intelligence and fitness for office.”
