Ex-Trump bodyguard: Trump was offered women in Russia but turned them down

President Trump’s former longtime bodyguard Keith Schiller reportedly testified to Congress this week that a Russian offered to “send five women” to Trump’s hotel room on his 2013 visit to Moscow but was turned down.

NBC News reported Thursday that three sources with knowledge of Schiller’s testimony said that he told House Intelligence Committee investigators about the offer, which came from a Russian participant in a business meeting that Trump attended before the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.

Schiller allegedly told House investigators that the offer was declined and that he responded by saying “We don’t do that type of stuff.”

The former White House aide testified that he and Trump laughed about the matter. Schiller said he stood outside Trump’s hotel room for a period of time after Trump went to bed alone, and then went to bed himself.

One of the sources told NBC News that Schiller testified he did not remain outside Trump’s hotel room all night, but multiple sources said Schiller told investigators he was sure nothing occurred.

In a statement to NBC News, Schiller’s lawyer blasted the House Intelligence Committee “for leaking false and misleading versions of Mr. Schiller’s testimony.”

“We are appalled by the leaks that are coming from partisan insiders from the House Intelligence Committee,” Stuart Sears said in the statement. “It is outrageous that the very Committee that is conducting an investigation into leaks — purportedly in the public interest — is itself leaking information and defaming cooperative witnesses like Mr. Schiller.”

It was reported last week that the committee was set to question Schiller on the details of Trump’s 2013 trip to Moscow, which was detailed in several allegations in the infamous, unverified dossier compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.

The dossier, intended as 2016 campaign opposition research, was initiated by Republicans but eventually taken over by Democrats.

Trump told The New York Times in July that Schiller would dismiss the claims about the Moscow trip, saying, “He said, ‘What kind of crap is this?’ I went there for one day for the Miss Universe contest, I turned around, I went back.”

Schiller left the White House in September. He had previously worked for Trump since at least 1999 and had served as Trump’s director of security since 2004.
