Trump: North Korea’s ‘Little Rocket Man’ should have been handled long ago

President Trump ripped past U.S. administrations’ handling of North Korea on Friday, escalating his verbal feud with the country’s leader Kim Jong Un by continuing to call him “Rocket Man” and “Little Rocket Man.”

“Rocket man should have been handled a long time ago,” Trump told a crowd of supporters in Alabama at a rally for Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.). He has started using the name “Rocket man” for North Korea’s leader in the past week.

“We can’t have mad men out there shooting rockets all over the place,” Trump said.

“He should have been handled a long time ago by Clinton. I won’t mentioned the Republicans, by Obama,” he continued, referring to past presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

“This shouldn’t be handled now. But I’m going to handle it because we have to handle it. Little rocket man. We’re going to do it. Because we really have no choice choice. We really have no choice,” he said.

Trump’s comments come after Kim blasted Trump on Thursday, calling him a “dotard” and threatening to escalate North Korea’s nuclear weapons program despite the U.S. imposing increased sanctions on the country.

North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho then threatened to test a hydrogen bomb in the Pacific Ocean.

The president responded to the threats on Friday, saying Pyongyang would be tested like never before.
