President Trump’s $1 million donation for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts will be split between 12 charities, with the Red Cross and Salvation Army receiving the largest sums, the White House said Wednesday.

The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army will each receive $300,000. Reach Out America and Samaritan’s Purse will get $100,000 each, according to the White House.

Eight other groups — the ASPCA, Catholic Charities, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity, the Houston Humane Society, Operation Blessing, Portlight Inclusive Disaster Strategies and Team Rubicon — will receive $25,000 each.

Last week, Trump said he would donate $1 million of his personal fortune to groups helping storm victims in Texas and Louisiana.

But it was not clear at the time which groups would receive a contribution from the president, and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders repeatedly solicited input from reporters on possible charities.

In a statement Wednesday, the White House said that several of the recipients had been chosen at the recommendation of the press corps.

Trump’s pledge is among the largest made to a charitable cause by a sitting president, according to The New York Times. Meanwhile, Trump has also urged others to donate to Harvey relief efforts.
