Trump calls out Ossoff for living outside of Georgia district
President Trump on Monday called out Democrat Jon Ossoff for living outside of the 6th Congressional District in Georgia, where he is running for a House seat.
“Karen Handel’s opponent in #GA06 can’t even vote in the district he wants to represent….because he doesn’t live there! He wants to raise taxes & kill healthcare. On Tuesday, #VoteKarenHandel,” Trump said, referring to Republican candidate Karen Handel.

Trump’s criticism of Ossoff comes on the eve of the closely watched special election in Georgia to fill the seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price. The president in his first draft of the tweet misspelled Handel’s last name.

{mosads}Trump previously slammed Ossoff, who is living outside of the district while his fiancée attends medical school, for not living in the 6th Congressional District.
On the day of the April 18 special election primary, Trump encouraged Republicans to “get out and vote,” noting that Ossoff does not live in the district. Trump at the time also said Ossoff would raise constituents’ taxes and that he is “very bad on crime & 2nd A,” referring to the Second Amendment.
Handel and Ossoff will face off on Tuesday in the runoff election after several months of campaigning.
