PHILADELPHIA — There’s something about the numbers 44 and 42.
President Obama, the 44th president, spoke for 44 minutes on Wednesday night when he addressed the Democratic National Convention, and Bill Clinton, the 42nd president, spoke for 42 minutes a night earlier.
{mosads}Coincidence? It remains unclear. The Hill has contacted the Obama press office.
White House aides told reporters earlier on Wednesday that Obama’s speech would run about 30 minutes without applause.
But one question looms: Will Hillary Clinton’s speech run 45 minutes when she takes the stage to address the Democratic convention on Thursday night?
