MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says he was blocked from Republican governors conference events

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, an ardent ally of former President Trump, said in a new interview he was prevented from attending events during the Republican Governors Association (RGA) spring conference.

Lindell told Politico that he went to Nashville for the three-day conference on Tuesday but was informed shortly after collecting his credentials that he was not permitted to attend any of the official RGA events.

An unidentified RGA official said Lindell had attempted to join transportation to attend a member’s only dinner at the Tennessee governor’s mansion, according to the news site.

“These events are for RGA members, and Mike Lindell is not currently an RGA member,” the official said.

Lindell, however, said that he had been invited to the event and shared screenshots of a calendar entry suggesting he had been planning to attend several parts of the RGA’s conference agenda.

Politico notes that Lindell had said on Tuesday while appearing on Stephen Bannon’s radio show that he planned on confronting two Republican governors, Brian Kemp of Georgia and Doug Ducey of Arizona, about the 2020 presidential election and unproven allegations of fraud.

Lindell has attended other RGA events in the past, the news outlet notes, such as the organization’s 2020 winter meeting during which members reportedly urged him to run for governor of Minnesota.

Lindell told Politico that instead of staying in Nashville for the remainder of the spring conference, he would be leaving on his private plane.
