Nikki Haley unveils PAC ahead of possible 2024 White House bid

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley announced her new political action committee on Wednesday in an email to her supporters amid speculation over a possible 2024 presidential bid. 

The purpose of her new PAC, named after her Stand for America advocacy group, is to help get conservatives back in the House and Senate in 2022, Haley spokeswoman Chaney Denton said. 

Haley’s PAC will be “laser-focused on the 2022 midterms and electing a conservative force to the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate to serve as a bulwark against the liberal agendas of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi,” Haley said in the email to supporters. 

Bradley Crate, the treasurer for Haley’s PAC, was the treasurer for President Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 and Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-Utah) top financial adviser for both his presidential runs. 

The PAC will pay for Haley to travel and help campaign for Republicans in 2022, which could help her get more exposure before a White House bid, the Post and Courier newspaper noted. 

Her PAC can contribute up to $5,000 and run ads for other Republican candidates. The website is already up and accepting donations. Haley was seen campaigning for Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Georgia, but they both ultimately lost, flipping the Senate and giving Democrats control. 

Haley has not yet confirmed she is considering a presidential run in 2024.
