“Saturday Night Live” revealed the latest person to portray President-elect Joe Biden during its season finale.
Actor and comedian Jim Carrey had impersonated Biden the run-up to the 2020 presidential election alongside Maya Rudolph as Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
However, cast member Alex Moffat took over in the role of Biden on Saturday evening, debuting in the show’s cold open.
It featured fellow cast member Beck Bennett as Vice President Pence receiving his coronavirus vaccination at the White House on Friday.
“Though my term was only meant to be 6 weeks, I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL President…comedy’s highest call of duty,” Carrey said.
“I would love to go forward knowing that Biden was the victor because I nailed that shit. But I am just one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens!” he added.
