Watch live: Biden participates in G7 global investment event in Italy

President Biden is slated to participate in a G7 global investment event Fasano, Italy on Thursday for his second major international engagement in June, hoping to highlight his leadership on the world stage amid a tough reelection battle.

The annual G7 summit is expected to involve conversations about Ukraine’s war against Russia, Israel’s war in Gaza, the global economy and climate change. 

The president is expected to highlight the differences between his partnership with allies and former President Trump’s “America First” agenda at a time when European allies deal with far-right leaders gaining influence in their own countries.

Thursday’s event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
